hej hej!

i had a great week and also a quite nice weekend. two exchange-student partys...friday was really funny, yesterday was not so good because of the crappy music. it seems like most exchange students here love lady gaga and stuff like that...ppaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhh
but that's okay i will make some google research to locate the pubs where i will be spending parts of my weekends, yeah!
today i stayed in my flat all day - watched prison break and finished my film analysis about "12 angry men" and photoshopped a little.
pretty nerdy, i like that.

the weather is nice, the air is cold.
i love it.

there you go with some photoshop i did...nothing serious, just fooling around and hej hej! ...check it:

hej hej!

Der är till dig! (not really)
mmmmmhh, you taste so good
Björnbärs marmelad tastes awesome good!

yesterday i bought myself a bike so the way to the university takes me twenty and not fourty minutes. from the bike-shop i went straight into the city - on the way there i took some pictures. it was probably the first time riding a bike on snow and it was pretty much fun. i like it when it's a little more dangerous than usual with that drifting and stuff.

i had my first nightout in västeras on saturday which was really funny. actually it was a mixture of crappy music and funny people. the drinks in the pubs/discotheke are awful expensive - a small beer costs around five euros. duh

my class at the university is hilarious, i'm having a lot of fun with them. at the moment i have to paint a insect with watercolors, didn't have any effort to the current but i hope I'll get along with that.

i have to paint that fuck
this little bastard!

the two main lessons i learned in sweden since my arrival:

- look at the details. there is so much more to see (illustration+people)
- relax, just have a fikka if things are getting too hectic.

people are so friendly around here, it's overwhelming.
i'm actually getting a more friendly and laid-back by myself!
haha!

Here come the News

I managed to keep in time for the first deadline - Flo and I had to stay at the University to finish our work, we slept on wheelchairs...but that's okay - gotta pay if you want to play.

Life in sweden is pretty expensive - if you go by bus a 1,5 hour ticket costs you 220 SEK and if you don't buy the ticket before entering the bus you pay 420 SEK (ca. 4,20 Euros). Food and stuff is also more expensive, usually you pay about one or two Euros more than you do in Austria.

At the University I'm in a class of about twelve people. They are all really nice and bring along a big load of motivation. Illustrate, listen to music, talk and laugh...doesn't sound that bad, huh!? And never forget about the FIKKA! That's the Swedish Version of the English Teatime which is celebrated with sweets and coffee! Have fun, life is good.

Here are some of the first pictures i took. Most of them...all of them are taken in/from my room! :-)
But as I do, my pictures will start to move around and show you all the different sides of Västeras, Eskilstuna and Sweden as a whole.
Enjoy.

Eskilstuna

Soooooo, I survived the first days in Sweden pretty good.
At the moment I`m sitting in the Hogskola in Eskilstuna where I`ll also spend the rest of the night - the first deadline is...well it`s today :-)
The illustration course is great, I`ve already learned a lot - results and stuff coming your way soon, probably on the weekend...
I bought myself a e-guitar yesterday, let`s see how that works

the greatest band ever?

(you knew it)

Panic on the streets of London
Panic on the streets of Birmingham
I wonder to myself
Could life ever be sane again ?
The Leeds side-streets that you slip down
I wonder to myself
Hopes may rise on the Grasmere
But Honey Pie, you're not safe here
So you run down
To the safety of the town
But there's Panic on the streets of Carlisle
Dublin, Dundee, Humberside
I wonder to myself

Burn down the disco
Hang the blessed DJ
Because the music that they constantly play
IT SAYS NOTHING TO ME ABOUT MY LIFE
Hang the blessed DJ
Because the music they constantly play

On the Leeds side-streets that you slip down
Provincial towns you jog 'round
Hang the DJ, Hang the DJ, Hang the DJ
Hang the DJ, Hang the DJ, Hang the DJ
HANG THE DJ, HANG THE DJ, HANG THE DJ
HANG THE DJ, HANG THE DJ
HANG THE DJ, HANG THE DJ
Hang the DJ, Hang the DJ, Hang the DJ
HANG THE DJ, HANG THE DJ
HANG THE DJ, HANG THE DJ
Hang the DJ, Hang the DJ, Hang the DJ
HANG THE DJ, HANG THE DJ
HANG THE DJ, HANG THE DJ
Hang the DJ, Hang the DJ, Hang the DJ
HANG THE DJ

TWRPLA

Then I went down into the basement
where my friend the maniac busy's himself with his electronic grafiti
Finally his language touches me
because he talks to the part of us
which insists on drawing profiles on prison walls.
In that moment poetry will be made by everyone
and there will be emu's in the zone...
